Last year, as part of our trip to Prague and Vienna, Chris and I visited movie shooting locations for some of our favorite films and started the Pop Culture Pilgrimage webseries as part of our Pop Culture Lens podcast work. On that trip, we saw sites from Amadeus, Hellboy, The Third Man, and Before Sunrise.
This year, we went to Washington D.C. and New York City for our 10th anniversary and visited sites for The Exorcist, Ghostbusters, John Wick, The Fisher King, and Spider-Man. In this first episode from that trip, we toured areas in Georgetown to find where they filmed the greatest horror movie of all time (and, of course, the basis of our work on the tensions in exorcism cinema). Seeing those steps was worth the trip alone!
