Dear Interested Study Participant,

My name is Dr. CarrieLynn D. Reinhard and I am an Associate Professor in Communication Arts and Sciences at Dominican University. I am conducting a research project as on how people respond to television shows that depict food, cooking, and cuisines from around the world. I am requesting your voluntary participation in my study. 

I am particularly interested in people who watch any of the following television shows:

• The Galloping Gourmet
• The French Chef
• Barefoot Contessa
• Emeril Live
• Rachel Ray
• MasterChef
• Top Chef
• Iron Chef
• Chopped
• The Great British Bake Off
• Good Eats
• America’s Test Kitchen
• No Reservations
• Bizarre Foods
• Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

Participation in this study involves completing an online questionnaire containing items about your reactions to watching television shows about food, cooking and global cuisines as well as some demographic questions to be used for statistical purposes. Completing the questionnaire is likely to take approximately 5-10 minutes of your time. To participate, you must be 19 years old or older.

Please note that your participation is completely voluntary and you are free to withdraw your participation at any time. In addition your questionnaire responses are designed to be completed anonymously.  Anonymity cannot be guaranteed, however, and in the unlikely event an identity becomes known, all information will be held as completely confidential. When the results of the questionnaire are reported, all identifying information will be removed.
