I’ve started writing a biweekly column for a pop culture and media blog, Clearance Bin Review.  My column is Dr. Geek Tales of Geekdom.  I plan to use the column to discuss current issues and events in media technology, fandom, and media industry/policy fields.  Thus, the column is my attempt to bring my research and scholarship to the general public through blogging and social media.  

My first column discussed the timely issue of SOPA and PIPA — it was so timely I had to update the article as soon as it was published!  My most recent column discussed the possibility of contact lenses being designed for augmented reality communicative purposes.  Look for upcoming articles on next generation video game systems, virtual worlds television programs, the future of voice interfaces, and reports from C2E2 in April.
